Default Evolution trainer engine prop

I have an Evolution trainer engine. When I bought it, it came with a three bladed prop. Does anyone know what prop this is? (size)? There is not much on the web site except that it is a 'quiet prop for trainers'.

Thanks.

Is that a three bladed prop?

What size engine is it?
I have a 10x6 master airscrew prop on my os 40LA and its fine.

There is nothing wrong, I just am curious as to the size and pitch of this 'factory' prop that comes with the Evolution Trainer System engine. The engine is a .45 size but comes with a prop that does not have numbers (size and pitch) on it.

you could just measure the length and use a pitch gauge to get the pitch..
Maybe e-mail them and ask them..

Prop: 10-in., 3-blade Hangar 9 EVOE 100P (included)

This is the same engine that they put on their trainers. But if you go to their link for the engine it shows 10 x 4 prop.

After considerable research (?) ( I wonder what the big secret is with this.. why Horizon Hobbies just doesn't tell put this in their engine advertizement) the prop on the Evolution Power System (trainer engine) is a 10.5 x 4.5 three bladed prop. Wphew!

learned to fly with it, now throw it away(or keep it) and get some 10x6 2 blades, you will be happier!

I have a whole drawer full of props, including several 11, 11.5, 12, 13, and 14 in a whole variety of pitches. I was just curious about that three bladed prop that came with the Evolution trainer engine. There are no numbers on it at all. In fact, the only marking on it is the Evolution trademark/logo. I was considering using a three blade prop to slow down my Midwest Aerobat w/ OS46ABX engine for a while until I get more used to it. It is rather fast with a standard 11x6 prop.

Put an APC 11X4W on your OS46. It will slow the airplane down and give you more low speed pulling power as it is fundamentally a 3D prop.
