If anyone out there has gotten one of these to run well/reliably, please tell me...I can't get the #%@$^ thing to run consistantly! I should have done more research on this motor before shelling out that kind of cash, but.... spilled milk. Is this engine defective? Has anyone been able to get satisfaction from Hobby Services in the form of a replacement that works or an exchange? ANY info regarding the tuning of this piece of would be greatly appreciated.[&o]

I would advise you to check in with Bax on the O.S. Forum. He was very helpful to me with mine!

No 2 does! I had a pump/regulator problem with No 1. I about wore the needles out trying to get a consistant setting to no avail. I was asked to return the engine to be serviced. It was replaced with a new one due to the non availability of parts for the pump or regulator. This engine has a very narrow high needle setting. I am using 15% Omega with 4 oz extra castor added. I believe this engine needs a lot of running in very rich! I ran a gallon thru each one before flying. Talk to Bax. He will get you fixed up!

Well, its time for me to put on the Stupid Hat. I re-mounted the engine on the test-stand, BOUGHT A TACH, and now it humms along at 8600 RPM with a 13x6 prop on it. Good idle (a little lean at first) and good transition- and I can literally feel that it will improve as it runs in. Geez, do I feel stupid! [:@]

Sorry, guys.
