Hi, I'm new to nitro engines and have a strange problem with my kyosho gx12. I have broken the engine in by driving steadily for about 10 tanks of fuel and it ran fine if not a little slow due to running rich but now I am trying to tune it up and it just keeps stalling after a few minutes. I have tried running it richer and leaner but richer makes the engine slower, gurgle and cut out and leaner makes it stall. If I put the glow starter on and drive with it in place then it goes like a rocket but if I remove it the engine will stall within a couple of minutes ! ! my carb only has one adjustment needle on it, I'm running on 5% fuel and os A3 glow plug. I hope somebody can help me, thanks.
Oh and one last thing, this may be important, I rolled the car and bent the mixture adjustment thing over but only very slightly, I didn't know if a small air leak from there could cause this problem, any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah, the bent N.V. might be the problem...also, have you tried another plug? When you're breaking in an engine, it can be hard on the plug.
1st, I'd try another plug and see what happens. Your A3's should be good for that engine, just put another one in it and check 'er out...
You probably will get more answers in the Car Engines forum though, as this is mainly Airplane related stuff...

I swapped the glow plug for a new enya no.3 and changed the needle valve for one from a spare carb which was also from a .12 engine, started it up and everything is back to normal, thanks again for your help
