Just purchased a new Thunder Tiger 120 and I plan on putting it in my Giant Scale planes Mustang. Can anyone tell me if it is OK to mount this engine inverted? Is a glow adapter recommended for a good idle and reliability? What muffler is recommended? I checked out Slimline's website and they offer one that can be used with an inverted engine and one with the engine mounted sideways. Can anyone recommend were to purchase an in cowl muffler for this engine? I noticed Tower does not carry any.

Here is the same plane with an inverted OS 1.08. You better lower the tank to avoid any problems. I also installed a sportscal muffler which is basically a pair of "straightpipes". Top be honest with you , this was the worst plane I ever had. Was very heavy and I finally gutted the darn thing and installed everything in a Modeltech P-47. That is a nice plane.
