www.horizonhobby.com Is the current distributor in the US and offer service for Webras. But I was wondering how current this model is? They were distributors back in the 90's also but I'm worried about parts? You might call?
Enjoy,
Jim

I believe Paul's Hobby goes through Webra's Canadian distributor, Swift Electronics in Winnipeg.
I sent Swift my Speed 20 that broke its crank last year after I used an electric starter on a vapour locked engine. They rebuilt it good as new and at a most reasonable cost.

I sent it to Paul's. Great service, very reasonable price. He bench ran it, and diagnosed it with a bad/worn out piston ring. He then ordered a new one, installed it, and ran it again, dialing in the needles and verifying that it ran good. Very good, in his words. It's now back, and in the Extra, just waiting for these damn thunderstorms to clear up. I'll post a better review on my experience with Paul's after I've ran the engine, but at this point, I'd say I made the right choice. Thanks for the recomendation.

I have a red headed twin glow plug webra 1.20 with external crank driven pump, and it has very little compression ,or power for that matter, i think it needs a ring job , where can i get parts for it to do it myself ,,,,,,,,, or what does it cost to get it repaired , isn,t the shipping costs to canada pretty high priced ? thanx mike

Mike,
You just revived a thread that has died 31 months ago...
It seems the model engine industry hold a relatively small market.
Manufacturers often change their distributors...
No one can sell enough (with the exception of OS and Saito), to actually make a living.
I suggest you try writing to Webra in Austria, at this E-mail address: , or PHONE: +43 (0) 2256-81122-0 FAX: +43 (0) 2256-82306 and ask them who you should contact for service.
If you use the FAX, or the phone, don't dial the (0).
For piston-rings, contact Frank Bowman:
Frank C. Bowman
1211 N Allen Ave
Farmington, NM 87401-3568
505-327-0696

His rings are better than the originals in nearly all cases.

I needed parts for a webra 91 and every part I needed was not in stock till late NOV. at Horizon which my LHS orders from. I contacted Paul and he said his Canada supplier has all of them in stock. So I ordered them from Paul because I heard Horizon will not recieve anymore Webra stuff and I don't want to wait till DEC to find out this is true..........

Hey to All,
I just aquired a Webra 91 and was wondering what size prop to use. Also, seems like there isn't much info around on this engine. Does anyone know the weight range of the plane this engine will fly?
Thanks

Kman,
...Need more info!
The current P5 Webra is very unlike the older Speed version.
I believe 14x12 to 16x8 is the recommended prop size for the [link=http://www.webra-austria.at/motor.php?search=1067&folder=AERO&lang=EN]P5[/link].
The older Speed engines would run with a 14x6 to 14x7 prop.

I just ordered parts for a Webra Silverline 6.5ccm (.40) last week from Paul. So, I know he can get parts for discontinued models. And, he still gets his Webra parts from the Canadian distributor. There's no need to write to Webra in Germany.

Thanks for the prop info. The engine I have is an older one that came on a J3 Cub I purchased used. The Cub weighs in at 10 pounds and has a 110 inch wing span so I hope the engine flies it well.
