Default Sending engine back to 0S question

hi all
I have a 46fx that i bought new a year ago. Just yesterday the engine locked up in flight. I took the back plate off and the header to see if anything got inside but i did not find anything.
i was able to get the engine to turn over but now when i reaches
full compression there is a slight "miss" or click and the crack shaft jumps a turn.. is the connecting rod that hooks to the piston broke or what could this be?
I don't have the receipt for the engine anymore but i think this should be under warranty. Anyone else have luck sending engines back to os without a receipt

Sounds like the engine leaned out and seized.

The noise you describe sounds normal. Before sending back, just try and run it again.
