Default 3D prop for .25FX

I am looking for a wood 10x3 prop for a .25fx that is going on a mini 3D(2.5pounds), but it looks like no one makes one?

Current tach readings with apc props are(end of break in on test stand)

9x4-15,400
10x3-14,400

There is a noticeable difference in spool up with the 9x4--the 10x3 is much heavier--but at 14,000 to 15,000 rpms 3 pitch is all the speed I need so I would like to use a larger 10" disk.

So far the closest I have found is a wood 10 x4 pp that I could modify if need be.

Any help would be great.

I have an OS 25FX with a Mouse can pipe on my Pizza Box Flyer. I have been using Master Airscrew props both 9x4 and 10x4 with great results. They will spool up much faster than the APC's as they will flex more.

Thanks. Do you have any RPM #'s. Do you have any pictures of your can pipe on your bird?

Yesterday I ran it up again and transition was very good with the 9 x4 apc. It was turning 15,800 with the muffler baffle removed and custom deflector installed.

I am surprised to see there are not more 3 pitch props made in the 10"size--- at 15,000 rpm I don't see needing more pitch unless you are going for speed.

I can't find any other 10 x3 than the APC and Graupner.

With this Mac's heli muffler, wouldn't it point straight up or straight down???? I mean kind of crazy,.... as in "too far"...

Thanks,

Ernie

The header card indicates it will also work on the following engines:
OS .21-.32FSR, .25FX, .32SX
Thunder Tiger .25-.36 PRO
MDS .28-.38FS PRO>>>
ENYA .21-.30CX & SS
Magnum .25-.28 PRO
Webra .28 Speed

I would have pointed it down --it would have just got out of the prop wash with plenty of clearance from the ground. I think it would do a good job keeping the plane clean.

SPECS: Length: 177mm overall
Length: 165mm from center of mounting holes to end of muffler --6.5 inches
Diameter: 25.3mm at widest point
Diameter: 12mm at narrowest point
Distance between mounting holes: 35mm center to center
Height of exhaust opening: 6.65mm
Width of exhaust opening: 27.1mm

25FX is 30.5mm from mount holes to c/l of shaft or 1.2inches

6.5-1.2=5.3" With a 10" prop this would put you just outside of the theoretical wash.

Here is a photo of my PBF. The setup calls for a MAC'S header that goes into the Mouse can held on by friction over the silicone tube. A "Stinger" exits the Mouse can and is held on by JB Weld. Do a search on how to make one. I purchased this one a couple of yeard ago at Hodges Hobbies for 28$ a deal since the header alone goes for 20$. Mac was getting them from a supplier in Florida cant fine the info.

Will post Tach # later in the week.

Nice photo! The header pipe looks long, like still full length?? The combat guys are running them short, with the header sticking most of the way inside of the mousse can I think. Your setup would probably be "always on the pipe" with good grunt I would think.

What prop for 3D should I run on my Uproar with an OS 32? I am going to try an APC 11x3, would like a light wood prop, but can't find one......
