Default Picking an Engine

I am planning on ordering a BTE Venture 60 in the next week or two and was wondering what engine would fit my flight style and the plane itself best. I want to go with a 4 stroke and beyond that I have no real criteria.

As for my flying, I tend to putz around the field doing low 'n slow stuff or some acrobatics but nothing in the extreme. This will be my 3rd plane and my first since a trainer (started on a .15 powered glider and moved to a .20 Trainer). However, I do want to be able to smash the throttle occasionally and have the plane dragged into the sky by its hair. I dont want to bore holes in the sky at mach 2, but I want the low end power to be there when I need it.

Money isnt really a huge issue, I have to keep it under the 250-275 mark but that leaves alot of engines in the field. I have heard good and bad things about almost every engine/maker out there, but for the specific plane and type of flying I would like some help narrowing it down to at least a couple possible manufacturers.

Thanks in advance,

Cameron

The Magnum .91FS would be a good candidate for that plane. You can get
them on sale for $150....easy to tune, reliable, and nice power. I have three
of them, and I recommend them highly.

What you need is a Saito .82 or a .91
It will cover all angles with emphasis on reliability and fuel savings!
Should be a very popular engine at any field. This in turn means lots of support to get you up and going right away!

Fly safe!
