Default fuel eater

i have an OS .12 cvr that just barley finnishes a 5 in main. a few times I have flamed out just before the finnish line and coasted across. I understand that you want as little amount of fuel as possible for less weight.....but its making me a little nervous. Ive tried leaning out the low end but it doesnt seem to help. Im also running at 250 deg all the time.
the track I race is actually not very high reving. its a tech course. I dont even have the room to hit second gear so I spend a lot of time in the low rpms. A crab restrictor is out. I need the power since I cant get top end.

any ideas?
