Default saito 450

Can anyone tell me if a "new" FA450r3 should have threaded brass inserts to accept the front plugs? I just purchased a new 450 and noticed in the process of clearing the cylinders the area around the rear plugs is anodized black. The front plug areas are nice and shinny aluminum with brass inserts to accept the front plugs. Just wondering if was the standard for this engine. Thanx.

I answered your post in Twins before I saw it here. I've never seen any insert for the rear plugs, but the front plug is an "Add-in" to the standard FA-150 cylinder, the insert is to get sufficient strength there.

Bill.
