Default Tachometer

Hi,
I'm looking for a quality optical, digital tach for less than $200. The TNC wouuld fit the bill if it were available. Apparently SkybornElectronics has gone belly up. Too bad Tony's great tach is no lomger available. Is ther anything out there with TNC quality, sensitivity and accuracy? What do the troops at Jett Engineering use? Can I buy one? Inquiring minds would like to know. ;-)

Default RE: Tachometer

Ed,

Most of the racers use the Master Tach, it is $180 if you can find one. It has an analog display that some people like, and some don't. I personally like to see the sweep of needle, rather than jumbled numbers on a digital tach if you pinch the fuel line. It is the most accurate tach I have ever used and picks up a good reading from further away than any other tach I have ever tried.

I believe the only distribubor of them www.pspec.com is currently out of stock. Give Dave Schadel a call and get on his waiting list.

I am not positive, but I believe Dub Jett uses the master tach. Unfortunately, I recently had an expensive midair with Mr. Jett.
