I have a AE .15 engine, but I belive they are the same needle settings...here are the needle settings for the AE .15
HSN: 2 1/2 turns out from all the way lean (or closed)
LSN: 2-2 1/2 turns out from all the way lean (or closed)
Idle speed: 1/32 to 1/16 of carb open
HSN: 2 1/2 turns out from all the way lean (or closed)
LSN: 2-2 1/2 turns out from all the way lean (or closed)
Idle speed: 1/32 to 1/16 of carb open

Just a rule of thumb, most 12 sized touring car engines are around this setting:
HSN - 2.5 turns out
LSN - 2 turns out
Its a good base to start with. Then of course use the pinch test to see if its almost there.

thanks, eheh i was close, but i was getting hot temp(270) so i richened the hsn at about 3-3.5, but i wasn't sure about the lsn...thanks, now i know where to actually start from.
