Default Tower .75 X-tra head gaskets???

I have just recieved my Tower .75 engine and Senior Kadet ARF. The .75 comes with two extra head gaskets. The instructions don't mention as to why they include the extra gaskets. Do I need more than one installed on this engine? Do they wear out? I can't figure out why the manufacturer would include the extra head gaskets, anyone know why?

Default Head Shims

They are to lower the compression ratio if you use high nitro content fuel. If the engine detonates on your favourite mix, put in another "shim", orif they are different sizes, a thicker one...

Default Tower .75 X-tra head gaskets???

Ok....thanks for the reply....that makes sense. I knew that if you added an extra gasket it would lower the compression, but I was asking myself "Why would anyone do that, that means less power". Now I understand it being about having a problem with detonating with higher nitro fuel. I will be using 10% and have already run the engine on a test stand. The engine runs great and now I know what the extra head gaskets are for. Thanks.

....take the muffler apart, and lock-tite the threads
on the through bolt before you run it. They tend to
loosen, and the rear outlet will start to rotate. I
finally put two small pop-rivets in the underside
of the pipe to cure the turning problem for good.
