RE: Club MAGNUM !
Hi!
I own six Magnum 4strokes and am pleased with them all!
I am sure you have checked all bolts for tightness. Next, I would consider placing a short length of fuel tubing on the needle valve to prevent leakage. Routinely I do this for all my Magnums as the needle seems not to fit as snugly as it might on other brands. Like you, I noticed that there is a difference between amount of compression when comparing 2stroke to 4stroke, but I believe that is the nature of the beasts! I have been flying four of my engines for OVER ten years, and I fly at least three weekends of every month. Only now am I considering replacing the ring in my older 52 4s.
Good luck in OZ!
Tony

I am just breaking in my new .52FS. Seems to run OK after just a few tanks thus far. Unfortunately the weather went sour on me .[&o]
I am running FAI fuel for break in just because I happen to have a bunch. It likes an energized plug to run well on it (really rich break in mixture) so I am thinking a little nitro and warm weather will be just the ticket.

Today I ran her on a mix of 10% and 20% nitro as I was running out of 10%, there was no hunting she was running smoother but still not peaking.....the young fella is now thrashing my old girl and he wnts more power. flew today with a broken aileron control, said it was a bit unstable.

Hello, every body! Can anyone tell me where I can download or at least see operating manuals for magnum engines, specifically a Magnum 46 GPA, and the Magnum XL46 (I have two different versions, one with remote needle valve, one without). I promise to read the instructions, this time! Thanks for any help-Frank(lousyflyer)Sheridan

I bought this one http://www.himodel.com/engines/SK_Ca...R_Engines.html for my ASP 120, very cheap, works great and all is good. 15mm mounting dimension.
It should also fit your 108 I think
You could also order the ASP (same as Magnum) 108 carb from here: http://www.justengines.unseen.org/ac..._Spares_1.html

My Magnum XL.52FS is running very well. I just gave it a run and got 10,800 on a conservative tune with Omega 10% and a Graupner 10X6 3 blade. Seems just the ticket for my trainer.

The OS mufflers fit the ASP 61.
The Magnum mufflers fit the engine also and may be cheaper

RE: Club MAGNUM !
I would like some experienced input on a 3-bladed prop for the Magnum .91 RFS. I have an issue with ground clearance and want to see if this would be a viable solution. If you have tried a 3-bladed prop, which one worked best to maintain the rpm and prop loading factor? Can a 3-bladed prop be used for break-in?
Thanks in advance.
