I need to tap it and apparently not all nipples have the same threads. I may get with Enya to find out.

RE: Club Enya
Hi folks,
I was able to get hold of a NIB Enya .29 IV T.V. special, the ball bearing version. It has both high and low compression cylinder heads in its box.
There was a silencer with the engine, but it does not really fit to it - silencer flange is to wide. It has a clamp which is supposed to be screwed by two bolts to the silencer, but the clamp also does not properly fit around the cross-flow cylinder of that little Enya. Both silencer and crankcase have threaded holes, this is little bit weird.
In an old Robbe catalog (german Enya distributor) I found notes that this silencer was used for the .29, .35 and the .45 engine.
Tiffitech posted some photos of a .29 with such a silencer. Did you just widen the clamp by gently bending it open, or do I have a wrong muffler/clamp?

As to post #2004 about the .29 IV, I'd just widen the metal band clamp if the muffler will fit and the band clamp will fit around well enough to work. If it won't work that way, I'd use some 1/4" thick aluminum stock and make a bridge adapter to fit the bolt-through muffler to a bolt-on engine. Done it on a couple of my engines in the past to use bigger mufflers on smaller engines.

RE: Club Enya
All is clear now - I was too quickly thinking "it doesn´t work", but it does!
Just a little bit uncommon for what one is used to nowadays. I think it is obvious that Enya made a specially designed clamp to fit this muffler to the .29 TV engine, although the muffler actually is too large for the engine.

Looks like it will work fine! The larger the volume, the better! I got huge power increases from my Enya SS30bb using a .46 sized muffler. To the tune of 2,500rpm+ gain.
Treat that old Enya nice with some castor oil fuel - 20% content will make it last. Iron piston engines will die quickly with synthetic oil.

Yes, the clamp is different from the after-market types. I believe it is designed so that it cannot distort the crankcase when it is tightened. The gap in your photos is quite normal.
I find that muffler to be rather restrictive on the .45. I don't think it's too big for the .29 at all.

I am looking for an Enya VT-240 engine for a Fieseler Storch build. Does anyone have one that they might part with?

Have an almost new 120R, had 2 tanks run through it, then put away oiled properly, doesn't even have any castor stains anywhere. What does anyone think it's worth? Parts still available on the Enya website. Well used normal 120's sell for around $200 on the auction site.

Would you believe a radio controlled mini bike that I walk behind? Naw, I put it in a 1:4 scale Curtiss Jenny and ask you to fly it for me. :-)

I don't know if its ever been asked, but the thought crossed my mind about cam timing. Since the Enyas have a cam for the intake and a cam for the exhaust, could one or both be advanced or retarded a tooth for more torque? I know the cams in these have been said to be pretty "hot", but I don't know if anyone knows how much advance if any was ground into the cam(s).
Just a random thought...

I've had exactly the same thought. They used to make an accessory for hot rod Detroit V-8 engines. It was called a "Vari-Cam". It worked on the same principle. You try it first. :-) One concern I would have is valve face to piston crown contact.
