Default .15 abc engine runs hot

I have the Tower Hobbies ST15 truck with the .15 abc engine. I cannot get it to run below 290 degrees. If I richen it to lower the temp. the performance is awful and has frequent stalling. I have checked the piston and sleeve for wear and it looks even and minimal. I still have plenty of compression when hot. I have replaced the head gaskets and retorked all screws, carb and needle valve. I have been able to tune it to run through a tank or two of fuel without stalling and performing well, but the average temp is at 300 to 320 degrees. The spec says no more than 240. Is this normal? or can someone shed some light on this. I know the final answer will be to buy a good OS .12. Also I run this without the body on pavement. plenty of forward motion and airflow.
Thanks

Try to replace hotter glowplug then adjust a bit rich to keep normal temperature for ABC engines..
