Default SK Engines

Have many of you tried SK Engines? I am tempted to pick up the SK .50 for $50 to use on a GP Big Stik. I tried to do a search on RCU, but didn't have much luck. Only found one older thread. Does anyone have any positive or negative experiences or advice on these engines?

Comes out of the same factory as Tiger shark which are a good engine a couple of years ago the TSs were fair the carb barrels were a little sticky for some reason Kange dropped the ts which is good I have the 53 and 91 ringed version. If you spend an other 29$ you \can get a supre tiger from tower and the ST carb is amough the best plus they toss in a glow starter and charger thats worth 12 or 15$
Ther was a post on this site on the SK and it was OK but the ST is a 10. IF you want to do it for $50 I think there is a place in Canada
that has TS just my opinion martin

Martin-

Thanks for the advice. I'll give it some thought. Still open to input from anyone else who has flown SK engines.

Take a look at those.I am one of the first users of SK.Im impressed and happy to have them.(Both .50 ABC and .80 Ringed).
My .50 has just begun its duty on a trainer and Im so happy with it as u can read my comments on those threads.
Strongly recommend to buy it while still so cheap.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up going with a Supertigre .45, simply because my LHS had one at the same price as Tower (no free glow driver). I mounted and flew it this weekend. It seems to be improving with each tank of fuel through it. I am pretty pleased with it so far.

I'll probably try an SK sometime in the future.
