I've been thinking about this...
The other day a friend got this NIB FT 120 out of his big drawer. It must have been one of the last of the FT 120 size? Antway we ran a half gallon through it. It's no longer NIB? It ran perfect and cranked first flip every time. Both jugs always stayed on.
Anyway, I was surprised that it had a twin needle carburetor. I've been looking at the FT 120/160 manual for years and assumed they had air bleed carbs because that's all they show in the manual. All the engines I had come across were cowled in and I didn't ask. Looks like they would update the manual for apparently all the 160's and most of the FT120's are twin needle and not airbleed?
Another friend here in Ohio has a ASP 160 that's about 4 years old now. I've been around it some and it has a twin needle carburetor. I had been thinking that ASP/Magnum 160's were better than the OS because of the airbleed carb on the OS?
I think there was a older FT 120 MK I that must have had the airbleed?
Both ASP/Magnum and OS are good engines!
