Default YS - Problem ???

I goy a YS from a fellow RC'er here on RCU and upon receiving the engine and pulling the rocker cover I have found that one of the pushrods does not rotate when I turn the crank. The rockers are not frozen and if I depress the rocker away from the pushrod end and turn her over the pushrod still does not move. The engine also does not have any compression whatsoever. I would like to sort this out if it would be of little cost to get this engine running but the seller is also willing to refund my purchase price. Any opinions would be appreciated. He also said that he had "modified" the rocker cover to act sort of like an air chamber.

Thanks

No telling the problem being as we don't know what led up to the situation?

Take the cam cover off and see if the cam is rotating?

Make sure the pushrod is not bent?

Make sure there is clearance under the rocker arm/valve stem area?

The engine may have dropped a valve?

Isn't it great that it turned out to be such a simple fix? There was one at the flying field much like that and the pushrod was out of the socket at the rocker arm.

Enjoy,

Jim
