I have a Saito 56 and I am presently flying in winter conditions (35 degrees F.) The engine works fine at idle and at medium to full throttle. However, I have difficulties getting a good transition between idle and 1/4 throttle. In fact at 1/4 throttle it feels sluggish and sometimes quits on me. I have adjusted the high speed needle a little on rich side and the low speed needle on the lean side.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks.

LoppyLewi,
I use OS "F" plugs. You may be right. I haven't changed it in a while. I'll give it try. Sometimes we like to tweek a little too much. Thanks for reminding me.

You answered the problem in your first post. In many installations the idle needle CANNOT be set for best idle without going lean thru transition. Set the IDLE a bit more on the rich side and you should see a huge improvement. The problem gets worse as the nitro percentage goes up.
The plugs in this engine are not real fussy . I have had my best results with the Enya #3. It works at least as well as the OS F but lasts years longer

Thanks for the tips. I'll change the plug and go slightly rich on the low side and keep you posted. If that doesn't work I'll go with 20% nitro.
