25 FX 3D prop?
#2
I think 10x5 will be too much prop for it.
The guys who fly 2548 Scale combat run a lot of 25 FXs. They are required to use APC 10x3, Kavan 10x4, or MA 10x4; and have a 14500 rpm limit.

I flew my 25FX for the first time last night with a 10x5, having run it in on a 9x6. It seemed fine though it was difficult to be sure because the engine still needs some fairly significant tweaking to the low end. The manual that came with my 25FX gives 10x5 as a size it's ok to use, but strangely the manual online at osengines.com just says 9x5-6.
One thing that did surprise me is that the engine was only a bit warm after flying, making me wonder if I'm running it too cool by using a bigger prop and a rich-ish mixture - does this make sense?
I do like this prop anyway. The engine is fitted to a small trainer and is really quite quiet - it doesn't scream the way it would with a smaller prop.
