Check this out, this new OS engine comemorating OS's 70th anniversary this year will definitely be one cool engine, probably way more than i'll be able to afford though

This has been talked about before. Might be worth trying to find the other threads?
Its been several months ago. Maybe first of the year?
This picture seems better than the others but nothing has ever happened so far with the engine actually showing up at a dealer?
the picture is of a show engine?
Look at the February news release on the OS Web site...

"The IL-300, O.S.’s 70th Anniversary , Commemorative Model. Production will be completed in in the autumn of 2006."
We might see it next year?

hmmm...
Seeing those head bolts run all the way down through the cylinders to the crankcase is something you don't see often anymore.
I like how they alternated the intake/exhaust so the intake is paired together.
Is it just me, do those little mounting ears look like they'll hold?
Wonder what the firing order is?

Well it is one carb, with two intake runners, I like the way they did the intake, I think it would be easy to tune.
Being in-line as it is, depending on installation, I think the rear cylinders would be hotter just 'cuz less airflow. I'd be more concerned about that than anything...
Would be nice to get firsthand experience on this rig eh?

Here's one of the other threads discussing this engine:

The price listed in the Japanese RC magazine referred to was from about $1,700-2,500. But there's still no price being announced in Japan.

Wonder how long before that rear cylinder is cooked... but it would look great sitting in a Jenny!

Properly baffled an inline air cooled engine will have no overheating problems, including the rear cylinder. The trick is to direct the air flow from one side of the bank to the other.
