From: Middlesex, NJ,
I have a moki 1.8 with a cline regulator...........pressurized system
the diaphram was replaced 18 months ago..........5 flights on the replacement
the motor was moth balled, but started right up after sitting all this time
5 minutes into the run the motor shuts down
now it doesn't draw fuel.....except with the carb wide open and my finger over the throat of the carb for priming
could the diaphram have died already????
any help is always appreciated

Sounds like a bad diaphram to me. Take it apart again and see. Could also be junk in the needle valve. Take the carb off and take the needle valve out. Check the carb for junk.

Call Jim Cline, he's very helpful.

Is your tank buldging out really good and reaching a healthy pressure? It's hard to draw fuel without good pressure in the tank.
You can suck fuel out of the regulator using a fill pump but first make sure the tank is pressurized. The idea of running without the Cline is good but if the tank is too far back, and you go flying that way, it could lean out in uplines. It will rule out the carb if it runs without the Cline so it's its a very good test.
