Has anyone had any experience with the new o.s. fl 70 four stroke? I'm either gonna get one of those or a Saito 72 for my new Goldberg extreme 330 profile.

Everyone has an opinion. Here's mine.
Buy the Saito .82a and don't look back. It puzzles me why Saito is still offering the .72, since the .82a is just an improved .72.
Not enough folks praising the OS FL-70 to make me buy one again. On the other hand, the Saito .82a has lots of fans.

Artisan has hit the nail right on the head - Go for the 82, you can always limit your throttle movement if you don't trust yourself to not use all of the power and the Goldberg should be able to take the power anyway.

If money is not an issue, go with the Saito. I own the FL-70, and it really is lacking in power. I blame the air-bleed carb, but what do I know? I'm just a dumb pilot!
The FL-70 is the rear engine on my Cessna 337 Skymaster (push/pull) and I have a Magnum on the front. The O.S. is more quiet but clearly less powerful.
If the Saito's price bothers you, the Magnum is an excellent 4-stroke at the same price as the FL-70. Magnum is powerful, reliable, smooth transition, etc. I couldn't be happier with it, personally... I can't speak for Magnum's 2-strokes due to lack of experience with them, but their 4-strokes are doing much better these days than in the past.
