Default Saito 270 Twin Part

I have been looking for a cam cover for a Saito 270 twin and horizon is not able to get them. Does anyone know where I might be able to find one?

WD:

If you are talking about the actual box the cam fits in, you can use the later one with the high tappet guides, but you also have to change the cam, tappets, push rods, and push rod tubes. To keep the two cylinders balanced you need to change all these parts for both cylinders as the replacement cam has a "Hotter" grind than the original.

More power with the later cams is an added benefit.

If you would rther not go to the expense of changing all these parts, give me a PM or email, include your phone number. I have three of the earlier cam boxes, but they are on engines. We might work something out.

Bill.

I need a 270 motor mount and a pair of exhaust headers too. Does anyone stock parts for thesae anymore? Are the headers used on a more current product, maybe a big single?

I just got a pair of flex exhaust pipes for my 270. I ordered the ones for the 300 they are identical. Just be sure you order a R & L. I THINK the mount is the same for both also but not positive.

On another note can anyone tell me how much stronger the 300 is than the 270 ( single carb ). I might want to upgrade.
