Default TT .46 Performance exhaust

Does anyone make a performance style exhaust pipe/header for the .46 Thunder Tiger Pro? I am new to the hobby, and I would love to tweak out some more power for my stick plane. The reason I ask is because I put a header pipe and exhaust pipe on a nitro car and noticed all sorts of power gains. Any input would help me a lot!

Default Tuned Mufflers

Check out either the Ultra Thrust muffler from Performance Specialties at
www.pspec.com

or the tuned mufflers at Jett Engineering at
www.jettengineering.com

Both of these places have tuned exhausts for the TT .46 Pro.

The Mac's Pretuned Pipe for an OS.46 would also work, but is bulkier and harder to mount.

While you're looking, take apart the stock muffler and remove the baffle if you haven't already done so. You should pick-up a couple/few hundred RPM. Later.

OR.......for about $25 you can build yourself a mousse can pipe (MCP) for that TT Pro 46 and gain around 1500 to 2000 rpm over the stock muffler. Here's how to build one:

Or, for about $12, you can install a Tower .46 muffler and get a respectable power gain!

You have a lot of options here... The TT Pro-46 will accept any muffler that fits on an OS 46SF/FX. I have a Morris Hobbies tuned pipe setup. I also have a Tower pipe and I've tried taking the baffle outta the stock muffler. The Tower pipe and removing the baffle both make more power, but transition suffers for some reason. The Morris setup makes more power plus transition is silky smooth. Haven't tried the the more expensive mufflers or a MCP yet (although I'll probably try all of them out at some point)...

Morrishobbies has a mini tuned muffler for the o.s. 46fx that also fits the TT .46. It's a Rossi pipe/muffler, it was 45.95 last time I looked...
