Default Mds Engines

Son and I both got MDS 48 engines for X mas.
I've read some bad press on them.
Should we try them or return them for another make.
ADVICE IS REQUESTED PLEASE>

My vote is to keep them, I have four now, two older 40's, a .68 and a 2.18.

Better than avg power, longer than avg break-in, Idle and transition great. Use low nitro and a hot plug. Keep them a little further off peak on the ground, than other engines, as they seem to unload much more in the air. I have 2-48's and 3-68's. I found on the 68's, the ports were not as finished as the .48's, but over-all, great little engines!
