Hi,
I've been looking around the net for good information on smaller engines. However I have several questions that I haven't found answers for.
1) Who makes a .049 engine? Does anyone besides Norvel make one that is throttled?
2) Does anyone other than RCModels.com sell engines in this size range?
3) Is there a resource somewhere that has a good break down of the various engines and their performance characteristics? I like tower hobbies site, but they don't seem to have any info about this size of engine.
Thanks for you help!
Chris.

Chris, Cox makes engines that are in this size, but I'm not sure if they still have any that are throttled. They used to make a number of them that were. I think the Cox TD engines are still sold with a throttle.... But it was just an sleeve that rotated around the cyl. to restrict the exhaust. It worked just because it was simple and cheap. I have a Cox Dragonfly .049 that has one on it, and it seems to work fine. The only thing is, these engines don't "idle" very low, only about 4000 rpm. Any lower and it would quit.
