If any of you, guys, have a 1/7th scale model of a TF P-51B/D with a fully enclosed power unit (so that no part is protruded over the scale outline) I would really appreciate if you share your wisdom here. I would prefer modest/cost effective power unit that will allow me to fly scale, no extreme aerobatics involved, but I am open to all options (even converting it to eclectics). I also wondered if any of you have a power unit turning scale 20" prop, if it is at all possible.
Although, I could not find any related material on this board, I must missed some thread and if you know a location where this subject was already discussed – please let me know.

I fly the TF (red box) P-51B (Shang ra la/Jim Gentile) Mustang with the ST-61 inverted and the head right behind the small air scoop under the spinner. It looks really good except for the mufler.

Hey Rusyan,
I think an engine like the st61 would work fine if it weren't for that pesky muffler ruining a scale look... I'd try to find something like that but maybe in a rear exhaust version (MVVS .60?) and use either a pitts muffler or pipe (I'm pretty sure you could hide it in a custom-made bellypan). If it were me, I'd stick with either a 4c or a gas engine.... but that might not look scale!! --just some Ideas!

Hi!
The MVVS .77 or .91 could be used because these engines have a small steelsilencer a an option and they are also made in a rear and side exhaust configuration (an option you have with every MVVS as they use a split cylinder housing).
You could see them at this site
