Default K&B .61 Glow Plug Recommendation?

I have a Older K&B .61 that has maybe 2 hours on it. I purchased it on eBay and came with a Glow Plug. I used it
and it went out. I put a Super Tigre Plug in it w/o an idle bar and it has not run well since then.

Anybody have a recomendation as to what plug should be used? My S.T. plugs work great in my S.T. engines!!

Thank you in advance,
Shawn

The K&B 1L plug is made for that engine....available where glow plugs are sold.

Which K&B .61? I recall using idle bar plugs in the older ones.

As Sport Pilot has said, The older K&B 61's without the twist-on gold head originally had a idle bar plug in them. But I just use regular plugs in mine.

They run better and idle better with the regular K&B 1L plug, non idle bar,
especially with the crappy old carburetors.

I thought the K&B idle-bar plug was more tolerant of rich low speed mixtures in this engine. Try both versions of the K&B plug, they work as well and last as long as any plug I have used.

I use the Fox R/C Long idle bar plugs in my baffle piston engines. No need to spend more money for something that won't work one whit better.
