OK Guys,
Some time ago I posted problems I was having getting enough power from a Saito 60 twin I have in my GP CAP232. Bottom line, the 60T just does not have the power for this plane. I have been looking for a larger twin (older 80T or 90T) with no success. Anyway, I have given up on finding a suitable twin and would like some recommendations. I was looking at a 70 4 stroke, but I really do not want to punch a large hole in the cowl.
About the only option I can come up with is the RCV58. It looks like it would be in the range for this plane, specs say 52 to 70 4 stroke, about in the middle.
I think a 52 would be underpowered as is the 60T and would also require cutting a hole in the cowl. Suggestions would be appreciated. Any info from users of RCV engines (not the inline, half prop RPM versions) would also be appreciated.
Thanks,
George
