alright i just got this engine, and yes it is used but i opened it up and nothing is damaged and the needle isnt cloged.Anyway i prime it and used a new glow plug and and battery in my ignitor and hit it with the electric starter and it belches fuel out and wont start. So i hit it with the chicken stick and it tries to turn over so i hit it with the electric agian and nothing. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
thanks for any help

A couple things.

One -- As cold as it was in Jefferson City today, it is unlikely you will get a pop out of it with a chicken stick?

Two -- Sounds as though you actually don't have no glow on your glow plug? Remove the plug and hook it up and see if it glows.

If raw fuel is coming out the exhaust when you spin it over, it might be flooded.
Remove the glow plug....open the trhottle all the way, and spin the engine over
for about 10 seconds. All the excess fuel should blow out of the engine. Let it set
for about 20 minutes to air dry out.

Now put in a good plug. The main needle should be about 2 turns out. It should run
if the fuel system is proper. Close the throttle and open the carb back up to just about
1/4 throttle and give it another try.

FBD.
