Default cleaning glow engine

Can someone please tell me the best way to clean the gunk (burned on glow fuel) off of the outside of the cylinder head of a glow engine.

There are a few ways to do it but alot of people including me have an old crockpot that you are not going to use ever again for food and put some antifreeze in the pot and your parts that you want clean. Let them soak on low overnight and they will be a clean as a whistle when you check on them in the morning....

Or, if you're not up to the crockpot routine just yet, buy a spray bottle of Dawn Power Dissolver in the pots and pans section of your local grocery/Walmart. Spray it on, wait a few minutes, scrub with an old toothbrush and there you go. You may have to apply the spray several more times, but it works and won't hurt your engine IF you don't spray it on and then walk away for an hour or so. Kapiche?

Thanks Ed, since I don't have a crockpot, that might work better for me. Thanks to both.
