Hi All,
I bought myself a Carson Stormracer for Xmas and its been working fine. Recently I bought a new glow plug (Mtronics quickfire), when I fitted it the engine started ok, but when I reved up it backfired and blew the seal between the engine and exhaust I replaced the seal and now it barely starts at all and when I rev it backfires. I'm afraid to start it now in case I break it.
Help (new and confused)

Greetings - can you tell us more about that Carson Stormracer engine? Is it a 4 stroke by any chance? Try richening it up and see if it quits backfiring and then lean it back out ever so slowly.

Sorry new to RC,the box says 0.15, 2.5cc, 4 stroke
engine it also says to use 10 - 20% fuel. I tried running it a bit rich and it stopped backfiring but when I remove the glow starter the engine cuts out. Is it just getting the main needle and carburettor (that may not be spelt right)set up right. I read something about plugs being too hot
somewhere should I just put the old plug back. What is a good plug/temp to use/run at. Sorry for so many questions I appreciate the help.(2.5 not 3.5cc for anyone who read this)
