Hello, does any body have ever run a .90 engine with a 3-blade, 12x6 propeller. How about that because I have read that many recommend it but others do not?, Why?

The "normal" prop for a .91 2-stroke and 4-stroke used to be a 13x8 to a 14x6. It seems to me that a 12x6 3 blade prop should be just fine on a 2-stroke, other than the SK 90, which is ported/timed to swing much more lumber and which will not provide satisfactory service on props that are smaller than the importer recommends.

I have a new Magnum .91 two-stroke engine and I am going to run a 12x6 three blade prop on that engine.

I have flown many three bladed props in the past and have noticed that they do not produce equivalent thrust to their two blade counterparts. However, there are other aspects which should be taken into account, such as extra drag in the down lines, thus leveling the models flight speed somewhat.

The best thing to do is to try it and see how YOU like it.

Chuz, I think you'll find that 12x6 triple blader a little light, If your engine is a SuperTigre I can run a 12x8 3 blade on my ST .90 and see how it does.

Schaye, it depends on the .90 engine and where its best power is produced and the airframe it's going to be used in.

Let us know what sort of engine it is and what you're putting it in and we can possibly give you a starting point.

Well, it is a super tigre G-90 ringed 2 stroke engine to be used on the CMP cessna 182 83" ARF. Also I will use a Bisson pitts muffler.
