Inverted engines
Does anyone know if an inverted engine runs cooler due to inefficient purging of unburnt fuel as compared to an upright engine installation?

RE: Inverted engines
Not so----(in my experience).
If you could find a one degree difference due to the reason you cited I would be very, very surprised.
Generally the engine is inverted to get it 'inside' a cowl----NOW, the cowl and air inlet to air outlet comes into play-----and that is a function most (OK many) modelers do not understand! Get it right and everything works just fine--------get it wrong, well, your imagination is probably as vivid as mine.
There is plenty in these forms on that subject however so you are spared the disasters unless you do not wish to read.
