OK, what have I got here. Is this an old or a newer engine?

I have one in a Sig Wonder. The X serries was before the S serries. I have several from that serries 11,15,21,25 and a 40. To me they are RPM engines. I personaly just use them for sport flying. I have had not problems or complaints on the ones I have used. I do know the muffler for that engine is hard to find around. Also there was a tuned muffler avalable in it's day called a Tigre Paw ( have a few of those around too).

The ST X .21 was popular in the late 60s-mid 70s. It's a high-revving little engine. Don't restrict it with a too-small muffler or a too-large prop. Like Modeltronics said, it works great on a low drag plane like the Wonder or a flying wing-type.
