Back in 85-87 I think thats the year Great Planes imported this engine. It was a reproduction of the 1940 engine that OS made. Has any one run this engine. It says to run 70 wieght oil with the gas. I think Klotzs with castor at about 25% oil content should work. By the way only 2000 were made the first 1600 were sold in Europe The 400 left number 1601 to 2000 were sold in the states as Great Planes told me when I was a dealer for them. My engine is marked 1601 on the case and stand. I'm thinking of putting this in a Power House I built. From what I can tell not many people knew about this engine.
