Since I've never used any of ST engines I was wondering if anybody has any comments on them. I want to put this on an ultra Stick 60.

If you want to 3D with the US60, you'd be better off with the G90 if you want to try a ST. I have a G75 and it's a great motor for sport flying. Properly broken in, these ringed Tigres will practically last forever. The G75 is not the power-to-weight champion of the world, particularly with the hefty stock muffler. I now have a Slimline Pitts, which is several Oz. lighter.

Some people seem to have trouble with certain versions of ST's carbs. Maybe I'm lucky, but mine has impeccable manners - easy to tune, idles and transitions great.

Hey thanks for the reply Volfy. Don't know why I didn't see the G-90 before. Now I need to find somebody that has it in stock.

I have a GP Big Stick 60 that started out with a ST 75 and had great sport flying cababilities. I changed the motor to a ST G90 / OS #8 plug / Mac's lightweight tuned muffler/ Zinger 13x6 prop./ 5% fuel and, WOW, unlimited vertical.

The carb has great transition, this combination is a blast. You certainlly won't regret putting a ST 90 in your model, plus these ringed versions last forever.

I have found that those big ST motors prefer 0- 10% max. nitro fuel to run really well and keep cool.

Will the G90 allow me to hover with a lower pitch prop?

I have a ST75 in a Super Sportster 60 and a ST90 in TF Corsair. Both engines start with no problems even after sitting all winter and still never need the needle valve adjusted. I didnt even extend the needle valve stem out of the cowl on the corsair cause I never need to adjust it.

The ST 90 should hover your Stick without any problems as most of my flying except for climbing manouvers is done at about half throttle. My plane weighs 7.5 lbs. dry.

I have a G90 on my U Can Do and it hovers it. Mine isn't broken in yet but it runs great. My UCD weight 7.5lbs. I am using a moosecan muffler as well. Power is great.
