heat up engine in oven
turn allen key to left
strip
strip
strip
strip
all four!
now i'm mad
drill bits screw extractor
one broken screw head
two brohen screw heads.
time to clean up and call it a night
grrrrrrrr

Sorry to hear your tale of woe.
Why the need to heat up in oven ? It's been my experience that a Phillips screwdriver or Allen key used judiciously is suitable for the job.

after the first screw started to strip i thought that heating it up a little might free the rest of the screws up.
wrong.
oh well that just means i get to go to lowes and spend money tomorrow. my other favorite hobby.

For what it's worth, my experience is that ball drivers tend to strip the head easily while conventional allen keys (without the ball) grip better.
I feel your pain. Yesterday I spent 2 hours removing a stripped oil drain plug from my lawnmower engine.
