Default Carburetor orientation

Will an engine run properly with the carb turned 180 degrees from the norm? I need to have the fuel inlet and throttle arm just the opposite of what they normally are for a particular installation. And adverse affects in the running of the engine?

It will run just fine. Many engines are designed so that you can turn their carbs around for the exact reason you specified.

I have many airplanes and engines and about half of them have had the carbs fliped, all run great.

This is often done on four stroke engines. It is done rarely on two strokes but is possible
