Today I picked up a Thunder Tiger GP .28 that I ordered from my LHS. Looks nice like all TT engines "BUT" it does not weigh 7.8oz with muffler like the ACE Hobbies web site (and their phone tech said); it does weigh 10.5 oz like every other .25/.28 sized engine does. I hope to run it on a test stand in the next couple of days.

My Feedback: (1)
Thanks for the post, Francis. I have been waiting for the new TT .18 to become available. It's of the same series with the twist-on head and cast-on carb body. I hope its advertised weight is more correct as it is supposed to weigh less than an LA .15.
I can't wait to read the numbers you get.

I ran the engine today using omega 10% with extra castor. One 2oz tank, then another 2oz tank and finally a MAS 10x5 GF3 prop.
11,400 RPM @ 500 below peak 2800RPM idle.
as an FYI
K&B Sportster .28 MAS gf3 10x5 @ 11,200 RPM
OS FX .25 MAS gf3 10X5 @ 12,500 RPM
