Would an owner of one of these engines measure from the back of the engine to the back of the prop. I'd like to buy and install one in an existing plane an would like to know how much I need to modify the current setup.
Thanks,
Phil

Phil, I just happened to have my second one still new in the box....it is 4 1/16" from the back of the prop to the rear of the crankcase backplate. Add another 1/8" prox for the backplate bolt heads if this matters to your installation.

It is a great engine. I have two. One has been side mounted on my SIG Cap for three years and have had no flameouts, honest. I use an OS #8 plug and Byron 10% nitro fuel. Starts are easy hot or cold.

I like my first one. I think it may be slightly stronger than my two Webra 120s. I have it in an Aeroworks 25% Edge 540, a Slimline Pitts style muffler, Perry pump, APC 16x8 prop, 10% Omega. Forget what it tachs under this set-up and I'm too lazy to go open the shop to look in my log book, but it is more than adequate. I like it well enough to buy the second one.....

What does your sig weigh? I just bought the TT1.20 for a 120 size Morris Balsa Nova and am a little concerned if I might be underpowered. The BN wieghs about 10lbs. flying weight. I am wondering if it will hover? By the way what prop are you useing?
