Default Gms Engines?

I ordered a GMS .25 engine through PayPal at gmsengines.com. I have emailed Ling Lee several times and have not gotten a response and don't know if my engine has been shipped or not. Does anyone know if this website is a scam or not so I can notify my card company?

No it's not a scam. Pick up the phone. Your email is probable burried in about a 1000 spam messages they get. The enternet is about 10% of what it's cracked up to be.

Default Gms Engines?

Hi yncads
I just looked again at both sites, now I'm a little unsure. I thought Ling Lee was the lady of the operation at Mecoa now I'm not sure. I know a couple of people that work at Mecoa from time to time and I'll contact them to see what's going on, but in the meantime you should call mecoa.

Yes - I've ordered two engines from them. I've been very happy with their service. Not a scam.

No - I don't think they are the same as Mecoa.

Shoot them another email.

I emailed Mecoa a few days ago and haven't got a reply. I did however finally get one today from Lee with an apology for the delay. He says it will be shipped out today! Thanks for the response TimR & djlyon.

TimR, Are you as happy with the preformance of your engines? I ordered the GMS .25 for a plane I covered like Spone Bob only because of the gold head. I don't normally shop like that but It looks like a well enough made engine, hope it performs well. THanks again, Chris.

I have the ringed .76 and the .47. I don't have anything to directly compare the .76 to, but it has run well for me over the past year, without giving me any problems.

The .47 I can compare to a .46 FX and .46 LA. The .47 has equal, if not more power than the FX. It starts easy, idles low, runs great. Neither of the GMS will shut-off immediately by simply closing the carb. This is the only downside I have seen so far. For my use, I don't really care. There are numerous threads on how to fix this if it is a problem to you.

OK I was wrong. Ling Lee is not part of Mecoa, he is a he, and never was the lady at Mecoa.
He does buy his of engines, and lots of them, from Mecoa and is therefore able to offer competitive priceing.
