Glow plug for OS 46 FX

ZEE;
I run whats available. K & B 1L's , TT, Glowbee's, Fireballs, Enya. Fox, etc. I don't run OS Plugs just because there OS products. experiment don't just run 1 Plug. Some Engines like the OS3 some run the OS 8, I found 1 Motor that hated OS8 plugs. So experiment find the one that your engine likes.

I don't have endless money to spend on trying every plug out there, so I am looking for people with experience with this engine (46FX). As for fuel that I am using...that is difficult to say. I buy the stuff that our club has mixed and sells for relatively cheap to the members ($10/gallon). I think it is 12% nitro.
Another question....what filtering system would y'all recommend for the plane. It is going to have a cowling. I am wondering if it is better to go with a clunk type system, or an inline type deal.

Enya plugs are also very good but the Enya 3 is too hot of a plug for the OS .46 unless you plan on using 5% or less nitro. (Enya 3 is a hot plug mainly designed for use in 4 strokes or low nitro engines) You are better off using an Enya 4 with more than 10% nitro (http://www.modelrec.com/catalog/mrc/index.jsp?cat=45) The OS 8 is a hotter plug than the OS3 which is why I recommend using the OS3 when you are using more than 10% nitro. The OS8 will run fine with 15% nitro but may not last nearly as long and you may have some detonation problems with 15% on hot summer days (especially of engine is still new and tight)
Luckily for you the OS .46 is a very well mannered and easy to tune engine and almost any plug will work with (assuming it isn't too hot). If you want to save money try a K&B1L or tower hobby plug but the OS plugs and Enya's last a lot longer.

I run the K&B1L's in mine... It's eat's 'em now and again because of the extra rpm my tunned pipe produces.... Maybe I outta try the OS 3.... or add a head shim or less nitro... Maybe I'll use 10% omega instead of 15%.
