Default OS 61 SF Carb

im am in the process of cleaning the shop and i found an old 61SF that i had stored away, thats not even broken in yet.... the only problem is that it has a 7D carb(missing parts) that i took off one of my 1.08's so that i could sell it with a complete carb. I sold the O.S. 1.08 with the #7L carb, and now id like to use my 61....

is there a carb that is in production that i can buy for my SF61 ?

Yes, you can use a Perry #1500 or #1501 (slightly larger throat). I have one on one of my SF .61's.

FWIW, the #7L's are almost impossible to find these days. I searched for months before finally buying the Perry. It works just as well as my #7L's do.

not sure of spigot size i dont have a caliper... looks like im gonna go the perry route.... i dont like the ball joint arm it has, and all the screws it uses.... i lost a nice goldberg staudacher when i was a kid because something came loose on it and caused the motor to quit, not sure what it was, but it was a screw

i know its missing the fuel tap, the needle valve and spring ratchet, and not sure what else maybe you can tell from the pic, or tell me what the srew is called, i didnt see them at towers

Nice collection of SF's you have there raine.... they must be good engines

thanks for the quick and helpful replies

edit * spigot about 9/16ths

I have a perfectly working 7 L carb, that I now have on an fsr 108. I would trade for a 7 D carb in the same condition.

Tower Hobbies sells a #6B carb that should work on a 61 SF.
