Hi All,

I thought I remembered a post with all the rings Frank Bowman has available with pricing and I can't find it. Was I dreaming or does such a post exist? I know he can make anything but I thought there was a base list of common items.

How did you prepare the liner before installing the OEM ring? How did you break it in? What fuel are you using?

If you have a micrometer, measure the bore at the bottom, middle, and top. Take a couple readings in each area by rotating the mic 90 degrees. By doing this you will be able to tell if the liner is worn out. My guess is the ring didn't seat possibly due to improper cylinder prep when installing the new ring. Frank Bowman has always instructed to scuff the inside of the liner with 400-600 grit emery paper to rough up the liner to allow the new ring to wear in properly. The fine scratches wear the ring in and trap oil to lubricate it. Proper break-in running is important to get the ring to seat as well.

This is killing me and has had a very bad effect on rebuilding engines and therefore the entire RC community
