glow plug recomendation
whats the best glow plug for a rossi 45? Im using an OS #8, also using both copper shims, an APC 9.5 x 7n pylon prop, and 10% nitro
The reason i ask is because it turns off on me when im throttling up, on the ground... it seems as if the needle valve is very touchy on this motor. This is my second attempt at using this motor in about 5 years... this time its going airborne tomorrow...hopefully

I only know Rossi from others, but I'd think the #8 would be good, one copper gasket and probably 15% fuel. I've heard they're really sinsitive on the needle valve but that's just the nature of the beast on the high end engines that are running high compression.

RE: glow plug recomendation
I like to use the K&B HP plugs with the two shims and 10% nitro, good combo for the Rossi 45, I have also used the K&B 4520 Idle bar plugs when it gets cold outside.
My Rossi did the on off thing when throttling up and would cut out. Ran great on the bench and when it came time to run it up prior to takeoff it would burp and try to run and then shut off. I checked the plug and it looked good, checked it again with the glow igniter and it was good. I changed the plug to a new one and it ran great in the same conditions, so maybe the engine did not like that plug for some reason
