The best information right now is that the engines and parts will arrive in early May...about 30 days from now, or so.

Thanks for the reply, Bax. I am looking forward to buying two of the Tower engines, a 61 and a 75. I've got a rebate in the works that is earmarked for them.

I know that some things take time, and I am sure that the delays are unavoidable, as the retailers like Tower are probably taking a hit since the season is about to start. Not many things are worse in business than having a market for a product and not having stock.

I hope they keep up the QC and keep making great engines. They are worth the wait, IMHO.

It could be a great opportunity to buy a 75AX instead.

Nobody has yet denied my personal theory that the GMS factory that normally produces GMS, Tower Hobbies, and Super Tigre engines has been converted over to making Olympic souveniers until late summer. Just because I made it up doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't true. It's as plausible as any of the other theories out there.

In the mean time, anybody looking for powerful, well-made, inexpensive 2-stroke engines would do well to thoroughly investigate the JBA line of engines available at http://www.kangkeusa.com and also at http://www.bj-model-engines.com/home.html

Ed Moorman compared the $79.99 JBA .56 very favorably to the O.S. Max .55 AX right here in this very Glow Engines forum. By all accounts JBA offers a very solid value. The SK engine line from Kangke USA is also well regarded by most folks, and Kangke's warranty support and service are reported as solid, as well.

With all due respect to Bax, there isn't any shortage of good, inexpensive, powerful 2-strokes out there. There's only a shortage of them at Tower Hobbies. I personally like the Super Tigre and GMS engine lines (I've never run the Tower Brand), and it would be nice if engines and parts were back in stock.

Just because Tower is out of stock, it does not mean the end of the line for GMS engines. They are very popular engines and the number of worldwide distributors (excluding Tower) is plenty enough to keep Sanye in business. Tower is not the be-all and end-all of glow engines.

Let's keep this thread on the subject of Tower and GMS engines, and not about comparing with others, etc.
