Default need M8x1.25 prop nut

i''ve never ran into this, but there is a first for everything right?
i have a new Laser 80 that is perfect with the exception of the prop nut which is a M8x1.25 hardened nut.
it appears to have gone through a boring and threading machine on a slight angle..........in other words it is not square to the shaft and seats on one side when hitting the prop washer.
i am not sure if it will affect anything, but i''d like to replace it.
do any of you know of a place where i can get one?

thx mike

The Saito 1.25 uses a 8x1.25. Could you use the two piece nut from it?

Ace Hardware. They even had the big metric size for the center shaft of my ZDZ 120.

Mike,

All MVVS .61-.91 engines use the 8x1.25 MM size as well.

There is no need to get an *original* part and your neighborhood hardware supply, should have this common metric size; even in the imperial sizes US of A. You would want a grade 6, or 8 nut.

If you do not have a well stocked hardware store, or fastener store, in your area:

You can get one for about $3 from Omni or Tower

I have an extra Tru turn spinner adapter assy if you would like it. It has never been run on an engine. I will ship it for a resonable price.
